restored photos not appearing in iPhone

tod Mar 08, 2015 09:50AM CDT

I was able to save my files with iBrowse. Thanks for creating it !

I dragged the /DCIM/nnnAPPLE bac into my new phone. The photos are not visible in the phone.

Can you tell me what metadata/thumbnail files need to be copied to make these photo's available ?

Thanks
TD

Please see our article below about this. It’s for our iExplorer app, but the exact same thing applies to iBrowse:

Can iExplorer transfer photos to a device?

As it explains, by transferring the photo files is possible, that won’t update the photos database which is required for them to appear in the Photos app on your device. Another option besides bouncing them through our iExplorer Mobile app is to just delete the Photos.sqlite database file in Media/PhotoData and then power off and power on your device, and that should regenerate a new photos database that will include the photos you added to the DCIM folder.
