I have been unable to update iExplorer from Version 18.104.22.168 to Version 22.214.171.124 as Malwarebytes flags the itdownload.dll as a trojan downloader.
I have updated from both from within the program and standalone download, it happens both times during the install. I have not had this problem before.
Can you please look into this and advise.
We are currently investigating how the Malwarebytes app is falsely flagging and quarantining one of our files during the installation of iExplorer, and we are in discussions with them to get it straightened out. I can assure you that our software has nothing malicious in it, and our installers are very clean and safe. Until we can get this misunderstanding worked out with the company who makes Malwarebytes, please follow the steps below to temporarily disable a malware setting, and then once iExplorer is installed or updated, you can re-enable it and no longer get any warnings about iExplorer being unsafe and still be protected from the real threats out there.
1.) Open the Malwarebytes application
2.) Click on the Settings tab near the top, middle.
3.) Click on the Detection and Protection tab on the left side (4th one down)
4.) In the Malware Protection section, please click on the Disabled radio button (this is only temporary).
5.) Try installing or updating iExplorer.
6.) Once iExplorer is completely installed or updated, you can go back into the Malwarebytes app Settings and re-enable the Malware Protection setting.
